I had an amazing experience with this store! I shop there on mutiple occasions. They know me by name and my whole family because I referred them to this store! The people who were rude were always the CUSTOMERS! I loved going in when there wasn't mean hateful customers shopping. Before I got engaged, I went in and couldn't decide what ring I really liked. I went so my boyfriend wouldn't have to set and wait for me. (I am a person who takes my time with decisions.) Finally one day my boyfriend and I went in and I showed him which ones I liked. (Pictures never did justice! The ladies told me to get it down to 2 or 3 because the 5 or 6 would confuse him!) So, I still like them all and I let him make the finally call... we were in there way past MIDNIGHT! The Manager helped us and was so sweet. She told us to take our time. She suggested we take the rings OUTSIDE and look that them in the MOONLIGHT because the light in there was steering me away from the one I really wanted. Once we went out... my boyfriend and I were SOLD immediately. He said "THAT ONES IT!" I got a ring for 70% OFF! It's a preowned and I could never be happier! I got the ring of my dreams that didn't break the bank and thank you to Kay's in Tuscola for making that happen! I don't care what the people wear or what they look like.... ITS NOT AFFECTING MY BANK ACCOUNT!
Horrible horrible experience ...this place is a joke! My fiancé got me a ring here and the ppl knew it had to be sized. I got proposed to and went to take the ring in for sizing only to find out since their were diamond on the ban it couldn't be sized.... so not only did I not get to keep my ring I had to return it and have what was sopossed to be a wonderful memory get torn to shreds because the sales associate wasn't knowledgeable and had no clue it couldn't be sized! So I had to pick a new ring before I even chose the perfect one I had the lady call and confirm it could be sized . Then the day the ring was due in it wasn't delivered so they said it will be here Monday... already pissed off I go in today to find 2 weeks later my ring still isn't here!!!!!!!! So i demanded they call and get their facts straight! So now it won't be in until the 22nd! And when I ask what they are going to do for me since I've went thru hell and back they reply well if u don't like it u can always return it...this place is a waste of time I'm never recommending this place to anyone !
I just got back from going there to exchange an item my boyfriend had gotten for me. There was NO ONE in the store and for some reason neither of the two attendants could bother themselves with actually showing me more than two items for which I would be able to exchange the original purchase. They showed me two necklaces, and though I kept saying I would like to see other things and that I would need help identifying items in the price range, they kept returning to the original two necklaces they first showed me. I finally was able to look at a few rings, but again they did not bother to actually identify rings that were possible for exchange. It is very clear they have no interest in actually working, they just want to stand around. My boyfriend and I have been planning on getting engaged here in the near future and we will most certainly NOT be going to Kay Jewelers to buy the engagement ring or ANY future jewelry for that matter. At least those two attendants saved themselves a couple minutes.
I have no idea what these people do all day, but it isn't work. Unwilling to help me find a watch band, and they dress unprofessionally, When customers come, they ignore them and sit around and chit chat, or hide in the back. I have no idea how they stay open.
I have had nothing but run around and horrible experience with this location. I am not sure if it is all Kay Jewelers or just this one. I had a custom order put in and paid for. When it came time to pick it up, turns out, they couldn't do what was asked to begin with but no one called to ask questions, solve the problem, or even inform me that it couldn't be done. I found out when I called on my guarantee date to make sure it had arrived, they informed it was never even started. I was then informed we needed to start over at ground level and begin again. Looking back, I should have gone elsewhere at this failure on their part. I would call occasionally to check status since the first time no one bothered to help in anyway. After chasing people down, I was informed of the next step and would be called back, no one ever called me. After my second delivery date came and went without a ring, I had to be talked off of the fence and wait for the late ring to arrive. I did because I wanted my replacement wedding ring. I like the final product aside from the Shotty filigree that needs to be cleaned up by a real jeweler. My first 6 mos check for warranty already a loose stone, 2.5 weeks to get a prong tightened and yet again, a day late. I would suggest if you are looking for anything custom never ever go to Kay! Tuscola Kay should be avoided no matter what! I would give 0 stars if I could post it that way. What a disappointment this store is.
